Meet Our Founders

‘MARS Maritime has a team of dedicated professionals, passionate about the maritime industry. Our team has extensive experience across multiple sectors including but not limited to Defence, marine construction, engineering and maritime logistics. 

MARS Maritime delivers services throughout Australia, with mobility and responsiveness built into all our capabilities. Our office is strategically located on the Mid-North Coast of NSW, approximately half-way between Sydney and Brisbane.

Rob

Chief Operating Officer and Co-founder

Rob is our Chief Operations Officer and Co-founder, overseeing the delivery of MARS Maritime’s services across the business. Rob served in the Royal Australian Navy for over 12 years as a Mine Warfare and Clearance Diving Officer, performing key roles onboard RAN Ship’s and shore-based establishments. His tenures have seen him work across Australia and overseas in both operational and training roles. Within the private sector, Rob has held leadership and operational positions within commercial diving, business and training. Rob’s specialties (and interests) include underwater operations, navigation and Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (drones).

Michelle

General Manager & Co-founder

Michelle is our General Manager and Co-founder, overseeing the management and administration of MARS Maritime’s business operations, as well as providing maritime logistics consulting services. Michelle served in the Royal Australian Navy for over 8 years as a Maritime Logistics Officer, serving in various logistics and personnel roles both at sea and ashore. Following her Navy time she gained experience in Local Government, concurrently completing her MBA in Maritime Logistics Management through the Australian Maritime College. More recently, Michelle worked in the private sector, managing logistics and procurement for a high-profile project within a successful and busy marine organisation.
